Mixed Families in Contemporary Britain is a research study conducted by Alexandra Blair, a masters social work student, at Brunel University. The study focuses on White British and Black Nigerian Families.
A Call for Participants – You are invited to take part in this research study that is exploring experiences of mixed families. It will provide an understanding of what it means to be part of a mixed family in contemporary Britain, what are the challenges or difficulties involved and how do mixed families respond to these.
- How do partners overcome any differences?
- How do they resolve possible tensions?
- How do they make decisions about shared issues including about parenting?
The study will help professionals such as social workers with insights and understanding into how to work with mixed families. Interviews will be conducted via zoom. Further information is available for willing participants
